- Subject: scanf in MiNT libraries
- To: mint@atari.archive.umich.edu
-
- Stephen Usher suggests replacement of the current scanf() with the one
- taken from GNU. Be careful with that! Currently MiNT/TOS libraries,
- which come with gcc but can be used with other compilers, are practically
- GNU-free. Polluting them that way may be not such a hot idea.
- Implications are far ranging. Better look at BSD code.
-
- I do not have ideological quarrels with FSF and GNU licence. Actually
- I even contributed bits and pieces of my own work to some FSF projects.
- Still I would tread with caution.
